Employment Information

The Human Resources Recruiter's main responsibility is identifying personnel requirements, evaluating recruitment standards and best practices, and coordinating job postings, interviews, and candidate selections. The Recruiter will also develop, revise, and edit job descriptions. The Recruiter is critical in ensuring OLCN hires the best possible candidates by developing and executing recruitment plans for OLCN. The Recruiter will also provide clerical support to assist the Human Resource Director; other duties shall be assigned as necessary. 

Roles and Responsibilities: 

  •  Design, develop, and maintain the recruitment plan and process for OLCN 

  •  Liaison with Department management to identify personnel needs across all positions, including the possible creation of new positions. 

  •  Coordinate all internal recruitment processes including job postings, or promotions of selected employees ensuring all applicable standards in hiring are met. 

  •  Post positions to appropriate Internet sources, openings in newspaper advertisements, with professional organizations, recognized job posting websites, and other position-appropriate venues and attend career fairs for recruiting and company recognition. 

  • Advise managers and employees regarding staffing policies and procedures & conduct OLCN Policy and Procedure Manual orientations. 

  • Maintain Casual Employee Database 

  • Compile, sort, and verify the accuracy of information recorded in Human Resources databases 

  • Maintain backup source of OLCN interview files (hard copy & electronic) 

  • Information collection from OLCN interviews 

 

Qualifications: 

  •  Related Post secondary certification in an under/postgraduate program and at least 6 years of related administrative and program experience. 

  • Strong Knowledge of office practices and procedures. 

  • Keen attention to details 

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 

  • Proven organizational and time management skills
