Onion Lake Cree Nation's Membership manager will oversee the membership department, its registration processes, and maintain an open communication with OLCN's Membership, Chief and Council and new members. This role involves maintaining accurate records, membership database, processing applications, ensuring compliance with membership policies, and communication. Membership manager will also be responsible for supervising the Membership department staff, strategic planning and development of Membership department. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as a deep understanding of OLCN's Citizenship Law, governance structure and membership policies. The Membership manager will work directly and report to the Treaty Law Department Director to develop and implement OLCN's Citizenship Law policies.

• Strong understanding of First Nations governance and membership regulations: Knowledge of the Indian Act and related legislation is essential.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to communicate effectively with members, staff, and external stakeholders.
•Strong organizational and administrative skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and maintain accurate records.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software: Knowledge of database management systems is often required.
•Experience in a First Nations community or organization: Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team: Must be able to work effectively with minimal supervision.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree, associate’s degree or University Degree within related field as required; or
• 5 Years of Management Experience
• Experience working with senior leaders, administrators, boards, committees and working groups
• Motivated, organized, self-directed, possessing high standards of professional integrity and judgment
including the ability to maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive matters
