Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs inside residential units (e.g., fixing leaks, patching walls, replacing fixtures).
- Respond promptly to tenant maintenance requests and service calls.
- Perform scheduled preventive tasks such as changing filters, testing smoke detectors, lubricating equipment, and checking plumbing systems.
- Identify maintenance needs early and report issues that require specialized repairs.
- Follow all safety protocols and building regulations.
- Report hazardous conditions, structural concerns, or security issues immediately.
- Support emergency response actions such as leaks, flooding, fires, or power failures.
- Properly use and maintain tools, supplies, and equipment.
- Interact with tenants in a professional, respectful, and customer-oriented manner.
- Provide recommendations for renovations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade post secondary school training preferred.
- Experience in residential maintenance, handyperson work, or building operations.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, painting, and general repairs.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift, climb, bend, and perform physical tasks as required.
