Responsibilities:
· Coordinate with management to develop and implement policies and procedures related to fleet and asset management.
· Develop and maintain an inventory of all fleet vehicles and departmental assets, including maintenance records, insurance documentation, licensing information, and asset tracking logs.
· Track and monitor vehicle usage, fuel consumption, asset allocation, and overall fleet performance.
· Schedule and monitor regular vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure fleet safety and compliance.
· Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and departmental assets to ensure they are clean, safe, operational, and properly maintained.
· Liaise with mechanics, vendors, and service providers to coordinate vehicle repairs, preventative maintenance, and asset servicing.
· Mentor, coordinate, and communicate with casual drivers to ensure they are aware of schedules, expectations, and responsibilities.
· Develop and manage fleet schedules to ensure vehicle availability for children, youth, and family programming.
· Collaborate with program coordinators, facilitators, and drivers to ensure vehicles and assets are properly assigned and available according to program needs.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to fleet operations, maintenance, schedules, fuel usage, asset distribution, and departmental expenses.
· Monitor and manage fleet- and asset-related costs, including fuel, maintenance, repairs, and replacement planning.
· Assist with tracking, organizing, storing, and distributing departmental equipment, supplies, and assets as required.
· Attend monthly staff meetings and participate in departmental planning activities.
· Prepare and submit monthly reports and operational data to management.
· Act in a professional and respectful manner at all times while representing Onion Lake Cree Nation and serve as a positive role model within the community.
· Assist with public events, forums, workshops, community initiatives, and other departmental activities as required.
· Perform other duties as assigned by the Prevention Administrative Coordinator.
Qualifications:
• Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in fleet coordination, logistics, asset management, or a related field preferred.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repairs, and fleet operations.
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills with software applications including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare reports.
• Clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check is required.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License is required.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when required.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
