To provide administrative support to ensure that department operations are maintained in an
effective and professional manner. The position reports to the Native Justice Manager, performs other related
duties assigned, and adhere to all policies and procedures outlined in the Onion Lake Personnel Policies and
Procedures.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain office files. Type, format, copy, distribute, file, & retrieve correspondence & documents.
• Confidentiality is of the utmost importance.
• Assisting with keeping track of reporting deadlines for programs.
• Assisting with appointments and travel arrangements including hotel, travel forms, etc.
• Provide support to Staff & Native Justice Board by assisting with minutes and related items.
• Complete inventory for Justice on all the office equipment, furniture, office keys, etc.
• Prepares, gathers, and relays confidential information and material on a regular basis.
• Attend community event planning meetings including setting up booths and forums.
Qualifications:
• Grade 12 Diploma required.
• Post-secondary certificate/diploma in Business Administration or an equivalent combination of
education and experience.
• Knowledge with Microsoft Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong knowledge of Office procedures and practices including record keeping.
• The ability to speak Cree is an asset.
• Must have knowledge of First Nations culture, traditions, and customs.
• The ability to work independently is a definite requirement.
• Must live a sober and drug-free lifestyle.
• Valid class 5 driver’s license, own vehicle, and must be willing to travel.
• Clear criminal record check with the vulnerable sector.
