Education Board Member (Two Positions)

Application Deadline

All documentation must be submitted by December 12, 2025.

Eligibility & Board Member Criteria

• Must be a member of Onion Lake Cree Nation.

• Must live in the community and reside within 50 km of Onion Lake.

• Must be knowledgeable about the educational system.

• Must remain sober and drug free.

• Must be bondable.

• Exclusions:

  • Full-time employees in any aspect of the education system (unless they resign or take a leave of absence).

  • Students in the in-school program or in a post-secondary program funded by the Education Department.

• Conflict of Interest Rules:

  • Immediate family members shall not sit on the Board concurrently.

  • An individual cannot serve more than two terms consecutively.

  • An individual shall not sit on more than one Onion Lake Cree Nation board.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Must be in good standing with the community.

• Must have good communication skills.
