Job Summary: The Community Buildings Maintenance Personnel is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and upkeep of the Community Buildings within Onion Lake Cree Nation. Maintenance will be involved in the planning for preventative maintenance needs, inventory and preparing cost estimated for repair and maintenance. Ensure that hazards are identified, and work orders are completed in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
Handle all general building maintenance and support i.e., plumbing, light electrical duties and general building repairs.
Ability to develop work plans and anticipate seasonal conditions, set priorities, coordinate mulitple tasks and emergency repairs.
Understand the operations of maintenance and repair to ensure proper and safe operation.
Perform preventative maintenance and repair to ensure proper and safe operation.
Perform general building and fixtures repairs such as but not limited to, fixing doors, windows and latches.
Perform simple plumbing repairs such as replacing appliances, replacing fixtures, unclogging drains, etc.
Repair/replace toilet bowls, taps and sinks.
Maintain water heaters, furnace repairs, and maintenance.
Safely operate small equipment, and electrical tools.
Provide log reports for the Director and their associates.
Other duties as directed.
Qualifications:
Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient knowledge of plumbing and electrical.
Experience maintaining records, logbooks, and daily work plans.
Relevant safety training.
Knowledgeable in small power tools and equipment.
